About this portrait
This cdv is a photographic reproduction of a painting of Catharina Elisabeth Duffhus (6 May 1788 – 27 December 1851); the original painting is held by the Netherlands Institute for Art History. Her husband was Joseph Mitschke, a merchant in Utrecht. One of her grandchildren was the later politician and minister Jan Harte van Tecklenburg — she was thus the maternal grandmother of Anna Maria Theresia Mitschke (see also her portrait in this collection).
